In this Snow Camps Europe VLOG, we take a look at the new lift as the testing phase of the project starts for the K3 K-onnection on the Maiskogel
The new Kaprun lift linking the Maiskogel to the Kitzsteinhorn will be known as the K3 connection and will take skiers from the base station 3/4 of the way up the Maiskogel to the Kitzsteinhorn glacier skiing area. Starting at a height of 1570m travelling at 8 meters per second it will take 9.1 minutes and will us 32 Atria cabins that can hold 32 people at a time. Moving 2700 people per hour!
The new lift will open up ski in - ski out possibilities to people visiting the Zell am See - Kaprun ski area. As well as many more Apres Ski options in the many Alms on the way down the Maiskogel and in the village of Kaprun.
One of the key benefits of the new K3 k - onnection is you will no longer need to stand in an over-packed bus to get to the Kitzsteinhorn ski are. Although the travel time from the bottom of the Maiskogel to the Kitzsteinhorn will know shorter or longer than taking the bus.
